Theses are Aber copper cables but not easy to get them to conform exactly, even annealing didn't help much.
Also replaced the smoke launchers on the turret with some from Modelkasten for an improved look

Unfortunately I haven't had any time for updates in the last couple of months.
However I'm determined to get this one finished and I'm closing in on the finish line.

Well it's the 3rd and final repaint for this one I hope. Going with this one instead.
Painted in 2nd Tropen scheme with Mr Paint lacquers
I've started weathering the lower hull, looking for a dried mud effect.
Here it is with it's new paint in Gaia lacquers.
I'll let the paint cure for a few days before re doing the decals.
I built this kit a couple of years ago and picked it up again recently, but I wasn't happy where the weathering was going so I've decided to strip the paint and try again. Here it is before a new coat of primer.
Most of the etch is from the kit except the exhaust deflector which is from the Aber set and the clasps are Griffon. Some other minor improvements like the jack block strap. The cable clamps are from the new MJ miniatures 3D printed set. They are perfection with no cleanup what so ever required with no visible print lines, unlike other 3D sets that I've used in the past.
